Black Sea flagship Moskva has sunk: Russia

Russia’s guided missile cruiser Moskva has sunk within the Black Sea after being broken in the course of the navy operation in Ukraine, Russia’s defence ministry stated late Thursday.

“Whereas being towed … in direction of the destined port, the vessel misplaced its stability as a consequence of harm sustained within the hull as fireplace broke out after ammunition exploded. Given the uneven seas, the vessel sank,” the state information company TASS quoted the ministry as saying.
