LONDON: Joe Root is stepping down as England’s Check captain, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) introduced on Friday.
Root’s resolution comes after the 1-0 Check collection defeat to West Indies final month, and the 4-0 Ashes loss to Australia.
“After coming back from the Caribbean tour and having time to mirror, I’ve determined to step down as England males’s Check captain,” Root stated.
