UP: Minor Woman Claims She Was Raped By SHO After She Went To Lodge Gang Rape Grievance

New Delhi: A case has been registered towards six individuals, together with a station home officer (SHO) in Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpur, for allegedly raping a minor woman, information company ANI reported. The case has been registered on the Pali police station. 

Based on a report by ANI, the 13-year-old Dalit woman was lured by 4 youth and brought to Bhopal on April 2 and was allegedly raped there. The woman one way or the other managed to flee and reached her residence. When she went to file a grievance with the police, the station home officer allegedly raped {the teenager} earlier than handing her over to the Childline Welfare committee, the police instructed ANI. 

On being questioned by the Childline Welfare Committee officers, the sufferer narrated the entire incident. Following which, the Childline Welfare Committee reached out to the Lalitpur Superintendent of Police.

The SP instantly filed a gang rape case towards six individuals, together with SHO Tilakdhari Saroj. 

SP Nikhil Pathak mentioned that the SHO has been suspended and a staff has been constituted to arrest the opposite accused. 

“A minor has been allegedly raped by 4 boys on April 22. When she was delivered to the police station, the SHO raped her as properly. A case has been registered towards six accused, together with the SHO who has been suspended,” SP Pathak instructed media. 

“One accused has been arrested and he’s being interrogated. The SHO together with the others accused is absconding. They are going to be arrested quickly,” added the SP.
